A Spice for Life!


Did you know Ginger is one of the healthiest among all the spices on earth? Ginger is a powerhouse of nutrients and bioactive compounds for our bod and brain. Ginger has been known as a traditional and alternative medicine for many years. It has a very long history of proven benefits.

It has been proven to aid digestion, reduce nausea and help fight cold and flu. Ginger can be used daily. You can use it fresh dried, (which is my favorite way to use it) or in powder form, oil or juice, used in any method its effectiveness is still just as potent.

Gingerol is the main bioactive compound that provides anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties that are effective in reducing muscle pain.

However, ginger does not have immediate effects, but it will reduce the days of muscle pain.

Study showed how ginger drastically lowers blood pressure of 41 participants with Type 2 diabetes taking 2 grams of ginger powder per day. Lowering fasting blood sugar by 12% also improved A1C by 10% over a period of 12 weeks. A study of 85 individuals with high cholesterol took 3 grams of ginger powder showed significant reduction in most cholesterol markers. Did you know, there is also evidence that ginger can enhance brain function directly? WOW!

In a study of 60 middle aged women evidence showed improved reaction time and working memory.

OMG, so much goodness in such a small spice!! How could you ever go a day without having a piece!
